Giltner Area Development Corporation (GADC)

The Giltner Area Development Corporation (GADC) formed in 2004 as a non-profit 501(C)(6) corporation. The basic goal of forming was to promote the growth of our community to ensure the future of our school. Beginning goals included establishing an annual clean up day, promoting the possibility of a spec home, and recruiting new businesses to our area.  We also looked to the future of the Giltner Community by setting aspirations of new housing, a much needed community center, and a daycare/preschool facility.

In 2008, we obtained our goal of a new Giltner Community Center.  2009 brought the building of the Hornet Prep Learning Center and Daycare.  2010 continues to see growth in our community with new housing.  The re-establishment of an annual “homecoming” called Autumn Fest has been achieved.  This celebration is held on the second Saturday in September.  In 2011, we had our “125th” celebration in recognition of the Village of Giltner turning 125 years old! We have extra memorabilia available for purchase. If interested, please contact a GADC member.

GADC meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Gifts and memorials can include cash gifts, memorial gifts, testamentary gifts, gifts in kind, gifts of real estate, gifts of securities, gifts of life insurance and trusts as gifts.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact any GADC member or call:

  • Gary Consbruck – President
  • Janet Humphrey – Secretary
  • Eric Leichty – Treasurer

Lions Club

The Lions Club provides the community with the baseball and softball activities during the summer. The season runs from the last part of May through June with tournaments in July. The age groups are from Teeball — 3 years old on up to boys/girls age 15 and under. The age cut off date is January 1st. There have been a few changes for the 2010 season, 12 & under girls cannot run on a dropped third strike, they are out, and the boys’ teams are now by age not by grade. A new concession stand was built in 2013.

Booster Club

The Booster Club is a non-profit, fund-raising organization, utilizing our revenue towards the growth and enhancement of extra-curricular activities for grades K through 12 at Giltner Public School.
